Valentine’s Day card exchange is a love or hate it event. When you are a kid, you love it… cards, candy, usually a class party. As an adult, you kind of dread it because it means helping assemble valentines to hand out in the class… usually the night before. I remember as a kid always wanting the store bought Valentine’s with Gem and Strawberry Shortcake and Barbie on them and my mom always had me MAKE my valentines. Now, I’m doing the same thing to my kids! But I will say that homemade Valentine’s cards have become so much cooler lately, with Pinterest and all!
If you want to try your hand at making your Valentine’s Day card this year rather than buying the pre-boxed ones, here are 10 ideas to start! For the last 3 years, we’ve done the 3-D photo card with our kids as it’s kind of fun to share a non-school picture and with the easy photo editing apps on your phone (Like A Beautiful Mess) you can take a pic, edit it, and have it printed in less than 1 hour!
