I don’t know about you, but I am a fan of the banner. It’s festive, fun and can be created to say a variety of sentiments! Plus, it’s rather easy to put together. Seeing that are less than 24 hours until the beginning of Thanksgiving, here’s a small collection of DIY banner tutorials that you can easily whip together.
Grocery Bag Thanksgiving Banner– Erring on the Side of Love
Pie Banner (+Printable)– ByDevan
Thanksgiving “Grateful” Home Decor Banner– Surviving a Teachers’ Salary
“Thankful” Banner (full Alphabet available)– Shanty2Chic
And if you have room for one more:
Burlap Banner- (Best) Bib and Tucker Blog
1/2 yard patterned burlap
hot glue and gun
1. Cut the burlap into 5″x5″ squares. Fold each square in half and cut a triangle out of the bottom edge.
2. Free hand write your letters on the banner using your sharpie (I chose “Gobble!” for a spin on the traditional.)
3. Hot glue to the twine and hang!
Note: because you are leaving the ends all raw, your burlap will begin to shred. That’s OK. Adds to the rustic charm.
My In-laws are here through Sunday, so I hope you have a joyful, blessed, Happy Thanksgiving!
Until Next Time!
